Hello all, we will be reviewing a very impressive new service plan from Airtel Nigeria called Airtel SmartTRYBE. in this review we will learn of the benefits of using Airtel SmartTRYBE, how to opt into SmartTRYBE, call rates and bonuses for Airtel SmartTRYBE subscribers.

A lot of people have been saying great things about the Airtel SmartTRYBE which prompted me to take a deeper look at the service plan and hence this review. Some of my folks even suggested that this Airtel SmartTRYBE is a lot better than the new Mtn pulse that we all have been flexing for some time now.

What is Airtel SmartTRYBE? Airtel SmartTRYBE is a new service from Airtel Nigeria that enables the young & trendy youths enjoy incredibly cheap call rates as low as 11 kobo per second to call any network, enjoy night browsing of up to 1.5GB for just N50, data bonuses on recharge and lots more.

Indeed this service plan is very similar to the new mtn pulse, it is however a better option to consider because Airtel boasts of a steady, very fast internet with mind blowing speed and are very consistent too.
To opt into the Airtel SmartTRYBE is easy, all you have to do is dial *312# on your Airtel sim and you are good to go!

The benefits you stand to gain when you subscribe to Airtel SmartTRYBE includes 1GB data for just N500 which is valid for 7 days, call rates as low as 11 kobo per second to all networks (MTN, globacom, Etisalat), night browsing from 12:00am to 5:00am (N25 for 500MB, N50 for 1.5GB), special weekend deals where you enjoy 250MB worth of data for just N200 plus an additional 30 minutes for Airtel calls for the weekend and lastly, free 15MB data bonus every when you recharge.

There are however some things that you need to know about the Airtel SmartTRYBE. The 11 kobo per second call rates only becomes effective after you have made a 50 seconds call at the rate of 20 kobo per second. From the 51st second you will then enjoy call rates of 11 kobo per second for that day. Note that international calls to destinations like UK, CANADA, USA, INDIA & CHINA are pegged at 20 kobo per second flat. Other destinations not listed above attract standard rates.

Then the 15MB per week data bonus on recharge don't come once, you get 5MB for the first N100 recharge of the week and an additional 10MB when you recharge another N100 within the same week, totaling 15MB for the week.

The N25 for 500MB and N50 for 1.5GB night browsing are the highlights of this service plan. What I do is that I draw up a list of items I want to download (season films, series, movies, games) and when they reach a certain data cap, say 1GB, then I will dedicate one night for the N50 for 1.5GB night data plan. In less than one hour I would have completed all my set targets for the night. All thanks to marvelous and incredible speed of the Airtel network.

The 30 minutes free call you are given for the special weekend deals can only be used to call Airtel networks. It would have been a lot better it was open to all networks.

A lot of people have their reservations when using Airtel because the rate at which data is consumed is about 3 times more than other networks' data consumption rate. I personally have grown frustrated countless times with this but when you think of the speed of Airtel, compared to others you will find yourself falling over and over again. Also the N50 for 1.5GB night data plan is one nobody can resist. We rate the Airtel SmartTRYBE service plan an impressive 7/10 on our rate scale. Kudos to Airtel Nigeria.

Nice plan. But the problem i have with airtel is that their services is too poor in my area, also their data run faster than bolt and before you know, you have exhausted your data.
